Diego Rivera Coming February 21-May 2, 1999
Folk hero throughout Latin America and legendary leader of the Mexican muralist movement, Rivera (1886-1957) forged a unique path in the history of 20th-century art. This exhibition explores the artist's contributions to symbolism, cubism, social realism, and surrealism. One hundred and twenty-five masterworks, many never before exhibited in the United States, are being lent by museums and private collections in Europe, Japan, and Mexico. Group ticket prices available upon request.
