Ancient Voices: Music And Tales From Sumer, by Gayle Stuwe Newman and Philip Neuman, Ensemble De Organographia, Oregon City, Oregon; and Jay Lamenski, Independent Assyriologist, Cleveland. A program of ancient Sumero-Babylonian musical compositions that come from the oldest notated music in existence played on reconstructions of period instruments, accompanied by readings in English and Sumerian of the tale of Gilamesh and Aga, one of the oldest stories from ancient Mesopotamian literature.
