The Cleveland Museum of Art has been collecting works of art for over 100 years. Exactly how these masterpieces make their way into the collection is not generally public knowledge. This spring, The Philanthropy Committee invites you to learn about and experience the process by which the museum acquires works of art.
Curator-Led Tour of Fresh Prints: The Nineties to Now

Join Jane Glaubinger, Curator of Prints for a private tour of Fresh Prints: The Nineties to Now. This exhibition will demonstrate how contemporary artists utilize printmaking techniques to express their ideas. Included will be works by Richard Tuttle, Andrew Raftery, Rosemarie Trockel, Yizhak Elyashiv, Louise Bourgeois, Annette Lemieux, Thomas Novkowski, and Christiane Baumgartner. Print Making Workshop

The printmaking workshop will start with a brief tour of the museum's collection of prints from different time periods and artists. The fun begins with moving to the print studio for hands-on learning by doing, via creating styrofoam prints, linoleum prints and a monoprint, all inspired by the CMA's collection.
