Did you know...
*Ancient Egyptians wrote with pictographs (pictures used for writing), called hieroglyphs.

*The animals tell you on which side to begin reading the inscription. When the animals face to the left, begin reading from the left; when they face to the right, begin reading from the right.

*Different types of birds were used in Egyptian inscriptions.
