Did you know...
*During the mummification process the organs of the human body were removed and preserved separately in canopic jars.

*Each organ was placed in a special jar with a top representing an animal or human head.

*Special gods were protectors for the organs inside.

Look for...
*The falcon-headed god, Qebehsenuef, who protected the liver.

*The human-headed god, Imsety, who protected the stomach.

*The ape-headed god, Hapy, who protected the intestines.

*The jackal-headed god, Duamutef, the protector of the lungs
