Did you know...
*It is also called a gemsbok.

*A typical herd consists of several males in addition to the females and young.

*Males and females are subject to a hierarchical organization within the herd, with young bulls sometimes dominated by high-ranking cows.

*It is easily tamed and domesticated.

Look for...
*Long and slightly curved horns in both sexes

*A black stripe separating the white belly from the darker body

*A black and white pattern on the face and legs
