Deidre conceives, implements, and directs programs to increase public engagement with the permanent collection and special exhibitions. This includes activities ranging from gallery talks, lectures, and panel discussions to experimental and participatory experiences with works of art, and other events such as MIX. She holds marketing degrees from Miami University (Ohio) and the University of Maryland.
Shelli manages Studio Go and CMA in Your Neighborhood, a community engagement initiative that began in July 2015. This initiative brings a variety of classes and experiences to 15 sites throughout Cuyahoga County including locations with Cleveland Public Library, City of Cleveland Recreation Centers, Cuyahoga County Public Library, and Boys and Girls Clubs.
Ralph prepares art suitcases for presentations and delivers them to different schools and community organizations. He works with the docents to make sure the art is handled properly by the public and then safely returns the objects to the museum. He comes to us from the Pappy Mann School of Driving, taught for 31 years in the Cleveland Heights Schools, and also holds a Master's degree from Kent State in Early Childhood Education.
When you enter the museum, Ebony is likely one of the first faces you will see as she greets groups arriving for field trips! She schedules PreK-12 gallery experiences including School Tours, self-guided tours, and Gallery Explorations. Ebony also provides administrative support for school tour docents.
As director of the department of Community Arts Robin has created 4 of the museum’s signature outreach programs: Parade the Circle, The I Madonnari Chalk Festival, the Winter Lights Lantern Festival, and the Community Festivals program. She sets the overall department vision, creates the annual program themes and develops the community partners. Robin joined the museum in 1989 and has an MFA in sculpture and performance art from the University of California, Santa Barbara.
