Our teens use video as a tool to tell stories. During our most recent session we created short films about an artwork in the collection. The students recorded their initial reactions, read about historical context, and completed a series of small tasks: choose three words that describe the artwork; describe this to someone who can’t see; write a tagline for the artwork; tell a story about this artwork. These tasks became pieces that they could include in their storyboards. Some also created their own typography or imagery to incorporate into their video.
