Currently Under Curation: A Teen Museum Fellowship

What is Currently Under Curation?

Currently Under Curation welcomes students from various Cleveland high schools to the resources and opportunities available at the Cleveland Museum of Art, in partnership with Cleveland Public Library. Each cohort curates an exhibition culminating in shows at local library branches. Students engage in activities that introduce them to all aspects of roles in the museum world, building skills in teamwork, planning, writing, research, design, leadership, creative problem-solving, and communications.

What makes for an ideal candidate for Currently Under Curation?

The ideal candidate is curious, a visual learner, and loves to read, write, and learn. The ideal student will work as part of a team on a creative adventure, accomplish individual tasks, and be reliable. Classes are held at the Cleveland Museum of Art on Wednesday evenings, 4:00–7:00 p.m., bimonthly from September 2019 to May 2020. There will also be some additional Saturdays and evening events.

We are now accepting applications for our paid Teen Internship until September 9, 2019.

To qualify for the program, applicants must be high school students in grades 9 through 12 at the time of application.
