Italian Art

E&I Program:
Distance Learning
Grade level :
6 to 12

In these teacher materials, and during the video conference, students will learn about the forms and functions of Italian art from the ancient Etruscans through the Modern era, by looking at a broad survey of images found in the Cleveland Museum of Art.  Students will consider what messages the objects communicate about the society that made them, including works from the Medieval period and the Renaissance.  Extension activities such as research topics are included, as well vocabulary terms in English and Italian.
