The museum strives to be accessible to all. The galleries are all designed to comfortably allow mobility impaired of all sizes to be used. Two sets of elevators reach all three floors.

Power assisted doors are installed at the north (main) entrance.

Accessible restrooms are located by the Ingalls Library off the north lobby.

The surface lot and parking deck each have six van accessible parking spaces.

Signed gallery talks are presented at 1:30 pm on the first Sunday of each month. During selected special exhibitions, interpreted tours for groups of six or more will be provided for the hearing impaired upon request.

Assistive Listening Devices (ALD) are available at the Ticket Counter in the main lobby. They can be used in all lectures and conferences in the Lecture/Recital Halls and Gartner Auditorium and films in the Lecture/Recital Halls. Musical events are not ALS since most performers use their own sound equipment.

For our vision impaired and blind patrons we offer occasional programming through our Art To Go program and the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped. These programs emphasize the tactile nature of objects within the Museum's extension collection and provide an alternate, unique experience for these guests. Special tours for the blind and visually impaired can also be arranged by appointment.

The Museum also has a partnership with the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation, which brings participants from six area adult training centers to the Museum for a gallery and studio experience. These visits are followed up by Museum sponsored 'coffee-houses' that include displays of the participants' artwork and live music. For more information on this program contact the Museum's Education Department or go tot the NO LIMITS section of the Cuyahoga County Board of Mental Retardation's web site at http://www.humannet.org/ccbmrdd/.

Our Visitor Information desk will assist with additional needs when requested.
