Description
One of the world's most renowned photographers, Ansel Adams was an impassioned spokesperson for both photography and nature preservation. Through his photographs, he promoted the creation of wilderness areas, and the appreciation of national parks such as Yosemite and Glacier. Adam's early training as a musician voiced itself in his eloquent photographic orchestrations of landscape. In this example, the descending rhythms of a waterfall create a sense of depth and movement within a dynamic composition of rushing water pouring over a rugged rock formation.- Turner, Evan H.
