Description
This work combines Photo Tex panels representing the working conditions in Mexican maquiladoras, a kind of manufacturing plant in which duty-free imported elements are assembled for export, with documentation of the display of the photomontages on the inside and outside of a cargo van that the artist drove through politically charged regions of Tijuana and college campuses in San Diego.- {{cite web|title=#16A/B “’N.A.F.T.A...’ Returns to Tijuana,”/“’T.L.C...’ Regresa a Tijuana”|url=false|author=Fred Lonidier|year=2005|access-date=24 April 2024|publisher=Cleveland Museum of Art}}
