VIVA! & Gala 2009-10 Season
The 5th season of the VIVA! & Gala [1] performing arts series is upon us with 14 outstanding performances from 11 countries around the world.
viva-cover1.jpg [2] This season includes an array of international artists and ensembles--the majority making their Cleveland debuts and U.S. premieres--like the dazzling Shaolin Warriors of China, the vanguard composer-improviser John Zorn and his new Masada Sextet, the Romeo and Juliet Choir of the Royal Dramatic Theatre of Stockholm, and so much more. Highlighting the 2009-10 VIVA! & Gala series is also the return to Gartner Auditorium on February 28, 2010 with a reopening bash including champagne and hors d’oeuvres before the Max Raabe and Palast Orchester [3] performance. Check back and look for blog entries written by CMA's director of performing arts, music and film, Massoud Saidpour; and CMA's associate director of music, Tom Welsh as they'll have more tales to tell throughout the season. Speaking of the season, subscription packages are available for the VIVA! & Gala series. We've got specific bundled packages [4]or you can customize your own [5] depending on what performances you want to see. Check them out and let us know feedback!
