Free training workshops in parade skills for leaders of school or community groups preparing Parade the Circle entries will take place at the parade studio (located in the Flats) beginning in early March and continuing through early April. In addition to an introduction to mask-making, costuming, and giant puppet construction, workshops also provide opportunities for consultation about your group's entry.

Training workshops are designed as an introduction to a variety of parade techniques. They offer a chance to experiment and exchange ideas. While consultations about your ensemble are available, there will NOT be an opportunity to begin actual construction of your parade ensemble. This year leadership training workshops will focus on demonstrations, brainstorming, troubleshooting, and expanded time for consultations.

Group leaders should sign up for consultations beginning with session 2. Time slots are available at 6:30. Sign up in advance by calling the Community Arts office at 216-707-2483.

For more information and a schedule, contact Nan Eisenberg at 216-707-2483 or commartsinfo@clevelandart.org [1]. Public parade workshops at the museum begin in May.
