Senufo: Art and Identity in West Africa
Educators are invited to a special evening program at CMA offered in partnership with the Cuyahoga County Educational Service Center. Attendees will consider aspects of the arts and cultures of West Africa and potential connections for classroom teaching and learning. The free program for educators and guests includes a tour of the exhibit, an introduction to the museum’s Teacher Resource Center, and a lecture by Carol Spindel, author of In the Shadow of the Sacred Grove, a classic memoir of a young American in Africa.
There is no charge for the event, but registration through the Educational Service Center is required by April 17th at www.esc-cc.org . Early Childhood Educator Workshop: Early Literacy through Art and Storytelling

Explore strategies for building your students' visual and verbal literacy while engaging them with art in our collection and children's literature. Designed for pre-K through 1st grade educators, but all are welcome. Register by March 1. $25, TRC Advantage members $20.
