Meet the Museum Staff: 5 questions with Alicia Garr, Associate Director, Department of Interpretation

Alicia Garr has been working at the Cleveland Museum of Art for 16 years, although she began her art-exploration here when she was only eight years old. She started working as a curatorial intern and has since moved on to work as Associate Director, Department of Interpretation. Her story is below.

 

Four-day Educators Academy Teaches Teachers How to Infuse Art in the Classroom

The museum’s Connie Towson Ford Educators Academy is inviting teachers from all grade levels and disciplines to learn at the Igniting Student Success workshop, August 3 to 6.

Educators will come away with the skills to integrate art into their lesson plans while also focusing on literacy, math, science, and social studies. A variety of professionals will teach art-centered interdisciplinary approaches to help your classroom succeed.
