Celebrate the Newest Gallery Openings on Going Global Family Day, June 27
The entire community is invited to join in the celebration of the museum’s newest gallery openings with our Going Global Family Day on Sunday, June 27, from 12:30 to 4 p.m. The afternoon is filled with free activities, including opportunities to get up close and personal with works of art from our collections, hear stories inspired by the objects in the new galleries, and see mask-making demonstrations and performances featuring our visiting artists from Africa.
Music, Crafts, and More Celebrate Art of the American Indians: The Thaw Collection
This weekend, the Cleveland Museum of Art will debut its first exhibition of Native American art since the 1970s. Art of the American Indians: The Thaw Collection features 120 masterworks drawn from the renowned Eugene and Clare Thaw Collection at the Fenimore Art Museum in Cooperstown, N.Y.

On Monday, January 18, the Cleveland Museum of Art will open its doors for a daylong, free festival of art and music in celebration of Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Family-friendly activities, storytelling and song will fill the galleries to promote Dr. King’s vision of understanding and acceptance.
