While our contemporary galleries are being re-imagined and reinstalled, the first of new relational art pairings are now featured in the Reid Gallery.

Acclaimed painter Ji Yunfei discussed a selection of his work at the 2011 James H. Dempsey Jr. Guest Lecture on Friday, December 2. This talk was presented in conjunction with the museum’s current exhibition Chinese Art in an Age of Revolution: Fu Baoshi (1904–1965).

Three of the museum’s affiliate groups -- The Contemporary Art Society, Friends of Photography, and Friends of African and African-American Art -- have joined forces with our Education Department to host renowned artist Lyle Ashton Harris in a free museum
