WHAT:
One of the world's premiere art museums, the Cleveland Museum of Art shows its fanatical side (and civic pride) today with the unveiling of supersized new banners on the face of its iconic 1916 Beaux-Arts building in support of one of the city's other great attractions — the Cleveland Cavaliers.
On a scale worthy of King James himself, each of the two banners — which together read "Go Cavaliers" — measures 26.5 feet wide by 23 feet high. They'll flank the south entrance of the museum throughout the Cavs' playoff journey to bring the 2010 NBA Championship home to Cleveland.
The cost of the installation is being generously donated by Glavin Industries Inc., a full-service commercial sign and industrial identification provider located in Solon, Ohio.
WHEN:
The banner installation will take place from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, April 23. Installation will be complete and the banners in full view by approximately 1:30 p.m.
WHERE:
Cleveland Museum of Art, 11150 East Boulevard, University Circle
