The Cleveland Museum of Art Elects New Member to Board of Trustees
CLEVELAND (March 8, 2021) —The Cleveland Museum of Art (CMA) announced today that Manisha Ahuja Sethi has been elected to a five-year term as a standing member of the Board of Trustees.
“We are thrilled to welcome Manisha to our Board of Trustees and look forward to working with her,” stated Scott C. Mueller, chair of the Board of Trustees.
“Manisha’s extensive leadership and philanthropic experience will be a great asset to the museum as we pursue our mission of service to the community, as well as the goals of our strategic and diversity, equity and inclusion plans,” said William M. Griswold, director of the CMA.
Sethi is a director of the Ahuja Foundation and serves on the board of the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. She is an emeritus trustee of UH Rainbow Babies & Children’s Foundation and a former trustee of the Playhouse Square Foundation and Hathaway Brown School. She has also served on a number of committees and been involved in benefits supporting these organizations and more.
“I am pleased to join the board of the world-renowned Cleveland Museum of Art,” said Sethi. “The museum is a treasure both for our community and internationally.”
A Cleveland native, Sethi is a 1994 graduate of Hathaway Brown School and a 1998 graduate of the University of Pennsylvania, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in international relations with a minor in Spanish. She also holds an Associate of Science degree in graphic design from the Art Academy of Cincinnati.
Sethi and her husband, Neil, have three children.
The CMA’s board is composed of 37 local and national arts leaders who help guide and support the CMA in its mission, vision and promise. As the museum pursues the ongoing implementation of its strategic plan and its diversity, equity and inclusion plan, the election of new trustees is integral to the success of those efforts
