Cleveland Museum of Art’s Textile Art Alliance hosts 10th Annual Wearable Art Fashion Show and Boutique on Oct. 20
Sales benefit the Cleveland Museum of Art’s textiles collection
CLEVELAND (October 8, 2013) — The Cleveland Museum of Art’s Textile Art Alliance hosts the 10th annual Wearable Art Fashion Show and Boutique on Sunday, October 20, from 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Executive Caterers at Landerhaven, 6111 Landerhaven Drive, Mayfield Heights. The Wearable Art Fashion Show and Boutique features one-of-a-kind clothing, accessories, jewelry and fiber jewelry as well as the opportunity to meet the designers. Over 50 artists will showcase crafted garments, jackets and accessories for women of all ages, shapes and sizes in the boutique.
At 1 p.m., guest will enjoy lunch and live piano music as models walk the runway. Artists from Ohio, Michigan, West Virginia, Minnesota, Indiana, Kentucky, Arizona and Vlaardingen, Netherlands are participating in the Runway Show. Sponsors Nagada, whose clothing collection features contemporary garments of hand-woven Egyptian fabrics and designs and Fine Points, a shop that specializes in hand knit clothing with an imaginative perspective, will also take part in both the fashion show and boutique.

- 10:30 a.m. Boutique preview shopping for patrons of the fashion show
- 1:00 p.m. Lunch and fashion show
- 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. Boutique open to the public
Patron tickets are $55 and include the exclusive preview boutique, fashion show and luncheon. Seating is limited. For advance reservations, call the museum at 216-707-6820.

About the Textile Art Alliance
The Textile Art Alliance (TAA) is an affiliate group of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Its mission is to increase appreciation of the textile arts through lectures, workshops and exhibitions and to enlarge the textile collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art.
The Textile Art Alliance celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2009. To date, the group has purchased 85 textiles from 16 countries, ranging in date from 200 B.C. through the present. Current acquisitions focus on contemporary fiber art. Additional information can be found at www.taacleveland.org.
