CLEVELAND (May 30, 2014) – Provenance at the Cleveland Museum of Art will debut a new look, feel and taste on Friday, June 6 during MIX: Fête – as if you need another reason to attend a MIX at CMA.
Provenance will feature an innovative new menu, style, and for one night only, a pop-up restaurant installation in the majestic Ames Family Atrium. “Now that spring is finally in full swing, it seemed to be the perfect time to transition into something new and offer our guests something reimagined,” said Chef Partner Douglas Katz.
Visitors will enjoy a more modernized restaurant menu, with a variety of vegetarian, meat and seafood options including:
- Green City Growers Bibb lettuce, pickled strawberry, cucumber, cashews and rhubarb vinaigrette
- Grilled New Creation Farm strip steak with asparagus, purple mash and sauce béarnaise
- Shellfish ceviche, avocado, lolla rossa and shaved radish
The pop-up restaurant menu will offer a scaled down version of the new menu for that evening and seating for this atrium exposition is on a first come, first serve basis.
Prix fixe fans can rest assured that the poplar exhibition-inspired menus will remain a Provenance staple. The current Van Gogh menu features items celebrating the artist's Dutch heritage, and look for the next prix fixe menu in mid June, featuring health conscious cuisine inspired by Yoga: The Art of Transformation.
Provenance is also getting a mixology makeover. Lorilei Bailey, winner of Bombay Sapphire’s “Most Imaginative Bartender” Cleveland competition and recently named “Cleveland’s Best Bartender” by Scene Magazine, has crafted several signature cocktails for the new bar menu.
Reservations can be made for Provenance online by visiting www.ProvenanceCleveland.com or by calling (216) 707-2600.
