Overall: 28.5 x 43.6 cm (11 1/4 x 17 3/16 in.)
Gift of J. H. Wade 1920.1158
The forward tilt of the male figure and the horse’s raised hooves create a sense of dynamic movement.
This fragment may depict a hunting scene. A male figure leads a female figure on horseback. The male figure, possibly of non-western heritage, seems to carry a weapon in his right hand and the bird he has hunted in his left.
