Description

Mentuemhet in his robes as a priest of Amen and carrying the wand used to consecrate food offerings to the god. Raised relief in the style of his time, but showing some influence of Middle Kingdom work.
A fragmented limestone relief depicts Mentuemhat facing right, wearing a tiered, textured wig, a shoulder strap, and a double-strand necklace with a heart-shaped pendant. He extends his left arm to hold a vertical staff and his right to grasp a horizontal scepter across his waist. Hieroglyphs including an owl remain above him. Vertical columns border the left. Large missing sections disrupt his midsection and the upper right corner.
