Paul Getty Museum, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MFA Boston) examines this brilliant painting by a precocious 18-year-old who became the greatest landscape painter in the Netherlands. The work is currently a highlight of the CMA’s newly reinstalled Northern European galleries.
