Hank Willis Thomas
About The Event
One of the most provocative and thoughtful artists of our time, Hank Willis Thomas sees his work in photography, video, and installation as an opportunity to address issues of race and identity as approached in advertising and popular culture. The artist first spoke in Cleveland in 2012 and returns to discuss his latest work and collaborative projects on the occasion of his solo show Hank Willis Thomas, on view October 20–March 9 in the museum’s photography gallery and December 14–March 8 at Transformer Station.
