About The Event

John Waters, the cult filmmaker behind Pink Flamingos and Hairspray—the Pope of Trash himself—is back on the road to present his annual Christmas show. Tonight’s production is copresented with the Grog Shop. To purchase tickets and for more information, visit the Grog Shop’s website (opens in a new tab). Musart Society benefits do not apply to this event.

John Waters’s one-man shows are legendary, and A John Waters Christmas is no different. As he describes, “I prepare for it like I prepare for everything else. I write a 70-minute monologue and I come on stage with no notes, no safety net, and I perform.”

The views expressed by performers during this event are their own and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of the Cleveland Museum of Art.

Tickets are nonrefundable. No refunds are issued unless the event is canceled by the venue or if safety concerns prevent the event from taking place. If an event is canceled, tickets are refunded in full. If an event is rescheduled, tickets are honored for the new date. We encourage attendees to stay informed about event updates.
