Art, Music, Cocktails: Something Different Every Month
MIX: Bye, Bye, Bye, 2026
Dance your way into 2027 at MIX: Bye, Bye, Bye, 2026, a millennial dance party pitting your favorite boy bands such as NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, New Kids on the Block, and Boys II Men, against the nostalgic girl bands of the era, including the Spice Girls, Destiny’s Child, TLC, and more. DJ Matt Hribar, MC for the Cleveland Monsters, Lake Erie Crushers, and Cleveland Charge reps the boy bands, while DJ Guilty Pleasures, of Grog Shop fame, spins the hits of the girl bands. Guests are encouraged to dress up like they are on MTV and sport their favorite pop-glamour outfit, denim, rhinestones, or 90s streetwear.
Since it is also the holiday season, head to the Donna and James Reid Gallery (gallery 217) to hear Gabrieli’s Horns performs classic holiday tunes arranged for brass quintet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Themed food and drink items, including cocktails, beer, and wine, are available to purchase from Bon Appétit. From 6:00 to 8:45 p.m., MIX attendees receive free admission to Ten Kings of Hell: The Afterlife in Medieval Koran and Spectacular Freedom: Andrew Wyeth and the Modern American Watercolor. Visitors are also encouraged to visit the newly redesigned ArtLens gallery.
Disclaimer: No full-face masks, heavy face paint, glitter, weaponlike props, or excessively oversized costumes are permitted. All outfits are subject to security screening. The Cleveland Museum of Art may refuse entry to any visitor whose attire does not comply with these requirements.
