The Oberlin Sonny Rollins Jazz Ensemble
About The Event
The Oberlin Sonny Rollins Jazz Ensemble was established at Oberlin College through the support of legendary saxophonist Sonny Rollins, who charges the group’s standout student performers to serve humanity through music.
This casual concert—featuring arrangements of jazz standards and original compositions—takes place during the museum’s April Play Day, Wander Wild. Play Days at the CMA are free opportunities for families to be creative, be curious, and connect through art together. Events include music, storybook readings, games, and art making for the whole family.
