About The Event
Explore printmaking using techniques that Pablo Picasso himself utilized to bring color and dimension to some of his works. Chine collé is a practice in which thin, colorful paper is pasted to a stronger supporting paper, then printed upon to bring color to areas of a design. The class also incorporates collage, staying true to Picasso’s love of many mediums on the page.
Cleveland-based printmaker tahm lytle identifies as an activist first, artist second. Much of their work is political in nature, and they go to great lengths to ensure the accessibility of their crafts. Their work is mostly linocut, Risograph, and screen prints, exploring sexuality, late-stage capitalism, nature, feminine and queer forms, death, and the climate crisis.
