About The Event
Play Days at the CMA are free opportunities for families to be creative and curious and connect through art together. Events include music, storybook readings, games, and art making for the whole family. Each event has a theme that relates to an exhibition, artist, or artworks in the CMA’s collection.
What happens when we bring pieces, ideas, and people together? Families are invited to explore how things are made while discovering the stories of new beginnings and creativity that shape the objects and traditions we share. Come curious, get ready to be hands on, and see how a little assembly can bring something beautiful to life.

· Enjoy a free coloring-book giveaway provided by Ohio Immigrant Alliance (opens in a new tab).
· Plunge into the pages of a book in Cleveland Public Library’s (opens in a new tab) reading nook.
· Build a mechanical paper model with Sears think[box] (opens in a new tab).
· Create a collage with Akron Children’s (opens in a new tab).
· Zoom in with Cuyahoga Community College’s (opens in a new tab) scanning electron microscope.
· Draw on personal memories to create your own recipe book.
· Invent your own place setting at our giant banquet table of art!
