Docent-Guided Tours
Ames Family Atrium
About The Event
Perfect for fans of Pride and Prejudice and Bridgerton, these docent-led tours explore the art and life of the Regency period. Celebrate the time of Jane Austen, Georgette Heyer, Sir Walter Scott, Mary Shelley, John Keats, Lord Byron, and many more heroes of British Romanticism. Europe from 1795 to 1820 was dominated by the rise and fall of Napoleon Bonaparte, from the Napoleonic Wars to the Congress of Vienna (1814–15), which subsequently redrew the map to restore monarchical power. This era, particularly in Britain (the Regency, 1811–20), saw major social, artistic, and fashion shifts, moving toward neoclassicism, industrialization, and early Romanticism.
