Affinity and Affiliate Group Talk: To Cleveland from Vienna

Wednesday, November 30, 2022, 6:00 p.m.

Join Gerhard Lutz, Robert P. Bergman Curator of Medieval Art, as he shares loans of armor that the museum is borrowing from Vienna, Austria, on view in the galleries in an engaging new installation that offers a reinvigorated view of this area of our collection.

Then, explore highlights from Tales of the City: Drawing in the Netherlands from Bosch to Bruegel with Curator of Prints and Drawings Emily J. Peters. Tales of the City is a once-in-a-lifetime show featuring rarely seen drawings from the Albertina Museum in Vienna, one of Europe’s oldest and finest collections.

Following the talk, the curators will be available in the galleries for questions.

A cocktail reception in the Michael J. Horvitz Private Dining Room will conclude the evening.

The Painting and Drawing Society and Column and Stripe members will receive a digital invitation.
