Artist in the Atrium
Every third Saturday of each month, stop by the Ames Family Atrium to get a firsthand look at the art-making process. Each session will provide you the opportunity to engage and interact with a different Northeast Ohio maker during pop-up demonstrations and activities. See their work unfold and learn how artists create.
Artist and educator Marlys Rambeau demonstrates the techniques and materials used in traditional Native North American beadwork, examples of which are on view in the CMA collection. Join us and learn about the different applications of beadwork in Indigenous cultures, the distinct patterns, and the origins of materials.
The exhibition Tales of the City: Drawing in the Netherlands from Bosch to Bruegel shows cities as places of artistic collaboration. Artist Matthew Kolodziej invites visitors to collaborate on the creation of a reimagined cityscape. Draw or photograph your favorite details from images of cityscapes found across the museum (including in Tales of the City) and add them to the expanding collage.
