Talk and Reception: Collections Management

Please join us for an evening with collections management, to learn more about how the CMA’s collection travels the globe.  Starting first with how an artwork enters the permanent collection, then later, how an artwork is selected as a loan to travel to borrowing institutions for exhibitions. Touching on topics such as international shipping and customs, legal agreements, and packing preparations, you hear from Alyssa Morasco, director of collections management, Dawn Turner, registrar for permanent collection, and Gretchen Shie Miller, registrar for loans.
