About The Event

Hailing from Bogotá, Colombia, cellist, composer, and visual artist Santiago Cañón-Valencia has been described as “technically flawless . . . totally under the skin of the composers’ idioms” (The Strad). He was named a BBC New Generation Artist in 2022 and was a winner of the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition Silver Medal and Audience Favorite Awards.

Join us for a special talk with Cañón-Valencia to learn more about his background
and his work as a musical and visual artist. Guests have the chance to hear a few excerpts of his work on the cello as well.

This event is for members of the Musart Society. Eligible members receive an invitation via email.
