In Stories from Storage, several curators focus on art historical stories that remain untold in our galleries. Susan E. Bergh, curator of Pre-Columbian and Native North American art, points out in her story that many museums—including the CMA—have artworks in storage that don’t fit into the histories their collections were shaped to tell in the galleries. Learn about the CMA’s small Oceanic collection, several fine Saltillo serapes, and charming ceramic figurines from several ancient Mexican cultures.
