In Hee Song
National Museum of Korea Research Fellow in Korean Art
In Hee Song joined the Cleveland Museum of Art in 2024 as the National Museum of Korea Research Fellow in Korean Art. Her research interests focus on Korean ceramics from the 900s to the early 1900s, particularly in relation to sociocultural transitions and cultural exchanges in East Asia and globally from the 900s to the present.
Song earned her MA from Ewha Womans University in Seoul and is currently working on her dissertation after completing her doctoral coursework at the same institution. Her prior experience includes serving as a curator and research fellow at the Ewha Womans University Museum and teaching as a lecturer at Chungnam National University in Korea. She also worked as a curatorial assistant at the National Museum of Korea. In 2016 and 2017, she was awarded a Visiting Fellowship at the Harvard-Yenching Institute, where she researched Korean art within the broader context of East Asian visual culture.
With her expertise, she is assisting Sooa Im McCormick, the Korea Foundation Curator of Korean Art, primarily in preparation for a major international loan exhibition scheduled for 2026, which spotlights the artistic legacy of the Goryeo dynasty (918–1392).
