Affinity and Affiliate Groups

Affinity Groups

Participation in an affinity group is a membership benefit designed to enhance members’ experiences with the museum and its collection. Throughout the year, affinity groups offer member-only programs and events that include special gallery tours, behind-the-scenes experiences, curator lectures, and other opportunities to interact with the Cleveland Museum of Art’s staff and collection.

All members of the Cleveland Museum of Art may join the affinity group(s) of their choice. Members at the Associate level ($250 annually) and above may join at least one affinity group at no additional cost. Other members may join affinity groups by paying the applicable dues.

Affiliate Groups

Affiliate groups have their own boards and bylaws and partner with the museum to support its mission.

These groups offer events and programs both at the museum and off-site, including domestic and international group travel. Affiliate groups provide deeper engagement with the museum, its staff, and collection while also raising funds to support the Cleveland Museum of Art in alignment with each group’s mission.

Membership in the Cleveland Museum of Art is required in order to join an affiliate group. Each affiliate group maintains its own dues structure and membership process, which may include an application and sponsorship.
