Affinity Groups offer our members opportunities for deeper engagement with the museum’s collection through special tours and lectures with curators at CMA as well as unique opportunities to visit local venues such as private collections and artist studios. Each group has a distinct identity with programs designed especially for its members. Within these groups you will receive exclusive access to curators, artists, and exceptional programs.
All members of the Cleveland Museum of Art can join Affinity Groups to tailor their membership experience to fit their unique interests. One can join by paying dues to the group of their choice, or, those at the Associate level ($250) or above, can join at least one group with complimentary dues. Friends of Photography (FOP) invites individuals who are interested in photography and dedicated to the growth of the Cleveland Museum of Art's photography collection to join its membership.
The Textile Art Alliance (TAA) is an Affinity Group of the Cleveland Museum of Art. Its mission is to encourage and maintain interest in the textile arts, to enlarge the textile collection of the Cleveland Museum of Art, and to further the understanding and appreciation of textiles by offering lectures, workshops, and exhibitions.
Affiliate Groups are also special interest groups of the Cleveland Museum of Art that offer opportunities for deeper engagement with the museum as well as offsite collections and venues. These groups have a different dues structure as well as different procedures for member registration.
The Painting and Drawing Society is for museum members who are interested in European and American old master and early modern paintings and drawings (before 1960). Our aim is to educate members, encourage collecting, and support the growth of the painting and drawing collections of the museum.
