University Guided Visits
Guided tours at the Cleveland Museum of Art invite students and faculty to engage in critical inquiry, observation, and conversation with objects. Led by a staff member or a CMA docent, guided tours can enhance classroom curriculum and instruction through a process of close looking that encourages discussion and teaches participants how to teach with works of art across academic disciplines.
If you are interested in arranging a guided visit for your class, please email academicaffairs@clevelandart.org no later three weeks in advance of your requested date.
Guided-Tour Pricing
Standard guided tours are $25 per docent. A standard tour includes a collection highlights tour or a tour of objects in a particular collection area (e.g., contemporary art, armor court, Native North American art). Docents are assigned according to group size; we recommend one docent per group of 15 people. The minimum group size for a guided tour is 10.
University Partners
Guided tours for institutional partners at Cleveland State University, Tri-C, and the CWRU Department of Art History and Art are free.
