A glazed steatite, a muted-green rock, is carved into an oval beetle shape. The rounded form tapers toward the head at the top, with a vibrant patch of turquoise glaze pooled in the center of its back. Faint brown discolorations and small pits mark the aged, worn surface. The brilliant blue contrasts against the matte, pale stone.
