A silver chatelaine features a filigree plate framing a banded orange carnelian accented with four turquoise gems. Above, a ring and geometric links lead to a vertical strand of colorful beads. Below the plate, four patterned chains suspend a curved white tooth and four slender tools, including a leaf-shaped blade and a spatula. The assembly tapers from a narrow top into a wide, weighted fringe of metallic and organic elements.

  • This object requires a microclimate storage box with silica gel to maintain a humidity of 40% RH. Some of the beads exhibit advanced glass deterioration due to age and inherent vice. These glass components are vulnerable to further change in a variable climate.
