A bronze medal with a warm, brown patina depicts a relief portrait of Martin Luther looking to our right. From the chest up, his stern features and short, wavy hair emerge from the smooth, circular surface. He wears a high-collared garment tied with a thin cord. Arcing serif letters follow the border: "EIN FESTE BURG IST UNSER GOTT" across the top and "1483 MARTIN LUTHER-D 1546" along the bottom edge.
