A brown bronze medal depicts a muscular man, shirtless in an apron and trousers, hoisting a sledgehammer behind his head. He stands with feet braced apart amidst low-relief industrial shipyards. To the left, a coiled snake sits atop an anvil. Raised lettering along the circular border reads, "PRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN CAR AND FOUNDRY COMPANY," with "1917–1918" at the base. The bronze has a warm, grainy patina.
