A circular bronze medal depicts a muscular, apron-clad man swinging a heavy hammer overhead. To the left, a coiled serpent rests on an anvil, with silhouetted ships behind him. Raised lettering borders the scene: "PRESENTED BY THE AMERICAN CAR AND FOUNDRY COMPANY," with "1917–1918" at the base. A warm brown patina and granular surface detail the worker's physique and the industrial setting, all rendered in low relief.
