Two sides of a bronze medal feature an inscription circling an image on both sides (see "Inscriptions" field). On the left, a three-masted sailing ship travels across wavy water beside a sun. The dates "1620" and "1920" appear near the masts. On the right, a sword wrapped in laurel and a torch with a quill flank and support a shield containing text. A stylized sunburst crests the shield's top.
