Two sides of a circular bronze medal feature an inscription circling an image on both sides (see "Inscriptions" field). On the left, a winged figure wearing a spiked crown stands between shields; one shield bears the letters RF and a bundle of rods. On the right, a man in a military cap and uniform faces forward, flanked by Roman numerals. The bronze has a dark brown patina with recessed shadows.
