A circular bronze medal with a dark brown patina features a relief bust facing forward. The figure wears a high-collared uniform and a military cap with an ornate band. Encircling the rim is the inscription "COMMEMORATING THE VISIT OF MARSHAL FOCH TO THE UNITED STATES." To the left are Roman numerals "MCMXXI" and to the right, the letters "ANS" above a small oak leaf. Features are rendered with crisp, raised lines.
