"La Sorbonne. Armandus. IOANNES. CARD. DUX. RICHELIUS. SORBONAE. PROVISOR. AEDIFICAVIT. DOMUM. et EXALTAVIT. TEMPLUM. S. DOMINO. MDCXLII." (Jean-Armand, Cardinal and Duke of Richelieu, forseer of the Sorbonne, built a house and exalted a sacred temple to the Lord, 1642).
